This is a sequel to the First Sino-German Workshop on Representation Theory and Finite Simple Groups held at Beijing in September 2002. It takes place at the St. Jakobushaus in Goslar , located about 80 km south  of Hannover. 

The conference is supported by the Sino-German Center for Science Promotion at Beijing (a joint institution of the NSFC and the DFG).
